Gevelridder helps glaziers, movers, awning specialists and basically anyone who could literally use a helping hand with lifting heavy objects. We want to make it easier for you to work safely and ergonomically. With the sturdy winch, the Facade Knight easily lifts 250 kilograms. And with the handy extension system, this is up to 10 meters high. If you remember us from, say, 40 years ago (that’s possible because a Gevelridder can take a beating and lasts a long time), then it’s good to know that the Gevelridder 2.0 is even lighter.
We want to increase job satisfaction and thus reduce all complaints associated with (too) heavy lifting of objects by using the Facade Knight. This sturdy steed is made of lightweight aluminum, making it quick and easy to use. A lightweight with a heavy capacity. With the renewed system you can lift 250 kilograms in no time using your cordless drill. Yes, you read that correctly. Gevelridder 2.0 has new equipment that allows you to easily connect your own drill – but one with sufficient muscle power. It is also possible to convert your current Façade Knight into this 2.0 version. That saves a few gold coins after all.
In the late 1980s, the Gable Knight was designed by Piet Ridder. He had a wooden window frame factory and developed a lifting aid to easily assemble his window frames. Piet’s wife came up with the name (they even won a prize for the cutest product name in the television program “Bij ons in de BV,” presented by Jort Kelder). In 2014, Piet Ridder sadly passed away and entirely in accordance with his wishes, Gevelridder BV was founded with an enthusiastic new management. A webshop arrived and with the engineering department of Gevelridder the product range was expanded. Lighter, smarter models Gevelridders as well as glass carts, vacuum lifters and many useful accessories. All developed and made by Gevelridder BV.
Gable Knight is unique. You want to see, feel and experience that with your own eyes. This is all possible in our showroom in Kapel Avezaath, centrally located in the middle of the Netherlands. Here we design and make our own lifting aids. We like to give advice, but if you want something different, that’s possible! We think along with you and if necessary we will develop a lifting aid especially for you. So, come and have a cup of coffee in our showroom?

This gentleman of steel has seen quite a bit of the world. Sir LiftAlot is really just another name for the Façade Knight (outside the Netherlands and Belgium), but call it common. In Australia, Sir LiftAlot put his winch to work moving paintings and statues. In Chile, he helped to glaze a villa, and for years he has sailed overseas with the Navy to replace ship windows when needed. Just to name a few examples.
