Unhealthy posture and back pain
Preventing back pain with the Facade Knight set
At Facade Knight, it’s not about selling our beautiful products, NO, it’s about the health of our customers, whom we jokingly call patients. Often it’s the little things in life that make the difference. Saving a small investment can often drastically negatively impact a technician’s life. Employees who work often or for long periods in unhealthy postures are more likely to develop (permanent) complaints or occupational diseases affecting muscles, tendons, ligaments, or joints. Think of unhealthy postures like working bent over, with raised arms, or kneeling. In these positions, muscles and tendons are long or strongly tensed. Postures where the extreme joint position is taken can also cause tension on tendons, ligaments, and muscles.
Occupational health portal and Facade Knight
Working in unhealthy postures can lead to fatigue or even damage. Therefore, it is important to limit this form of physical strain as much as possible. Employers are required to take measures so that employees can work in good postures as much as possible. See also: work posture.
With the tools from Facade Knight, customers also become more aware of the work they do. Can I still do this work in 10 years when I constantly have back pain? That’s why Facade Knight! Enjoy going to work.
Staff shortage due to back pain
Employers have been sounding the alarm about staff shortages for years. One of the solutions is not to focus on quantity as an entrepreneur, but on the quality of work of the staff. Facade Knight plays an important role in this. By working safely, efficiently, and ergonomically on the work floor, the professional will not only enjoy their work more, but back pain and thus absenteeism will also decrease.

| Facade Knight M | The Facade Knight M is a lightweight mini crane for glass, frames, heat pumps, and awnings, specially developed for construction and finishing. You simply place it against the facade and install heavy elements without carrying and without back pain. This compact lifting aid takes up little space in the van: collapsed, the Facade Knight M is only about 2.4 meters long and therefore easy to take to any construction site. On the job, you extend the Facade Knight with the supplied extension tube to a maximum lifting height of about 5.8 meters. This way, you can also place glass on the first floor, set frames, or install an outdoor unit of a heat pump without a mobile crane. With the extra extension bracket/spacer, you can also use the Facade Knight M to safely lift glass from a glass rack or rest steel to the Facade Knight glass cart. This replaces heavy lifting with mechanical lifting, reduces the physical strain on your technicians, and you work ergonomically with a professional lifting aid that glass setters, contractors, and installers can really benefit from in practice. |
| Kim250 | The Kim250 vacuum lifter is an ultra-light, electric glass suction cup for professional use, with a lifting capacity of 250 kg. Thanks to the aluminum frame and the two powerful Kim suction cups, the Kim250 is ideal for glass setters, contractors, and facade builders who want to lift glass, sheets, and panels safely and ergonomically. The Kim250 operates on a rechargeable battery and automatically pumps when the vacuum level drops. This keeps the suction power constant and reduces the risk of losing grip during lifting. Through the integrated display, you can easily monitor the vacuum and battery status, ensuring you are working safely. The suction cups are made with gray rubber to prevent streaks on glass and smooth surfaces and can also be used separately as a hand pump suction cup if desired. The Kim250 is also equipped with special eyes for fall protection, so you can use it according to standards when working at height. This vacuum lifter perfectly meets ergonomic requirements and modern guidelines for safe and healthy working with glass. In short: are you looking for a lightweight vacuum lifter 250 kg, glass suction cup with automatic pump, or a professional glass lift solution that helps prevent back pain? Then the Kim250 from Facade Knight is a logical choice for daily use in construction, finishing, and the glass industry. |
| Glass Cart 250 | Aluminum Facade Cart – lightweight glass cart and panel cart for construction The Aluminum Facade Cart is a lightweight, handmade glass cart from the Netherlands, specially developed for contractors, glaziers, and finishing companies who want to transport glass panels and panels safely and efficiently. This panel cart is ideal for glass transport on the construction site, in renovation projects, and in the workshop. The strong aluminum frame measures 1000 × 1000 mm, with a 200 mm extension, and has a load capacity of 250 kg. Thanks to its low own weight of only 13 kg, the cart is easy to lift, turn, and slide into the van. This makes the Aluminum Facade Cart a perfect glass transport cart for those who work with glass panels, facade panels, or other flat materials every day. The cart is equipped with two axles and pneumatic tires. This is deliberately designed: Pneumatic tires provide better cushioning for thresholds, curbs, and uneven terrain. They are less likely to get stuck in sand and gravel, making for more comfortable riding on the construction site. Your material remains more stable, which reduces the risk of damage to glass and panels. Where many standard panel carts are generic, this glass cart from Gevelridder is developed from the practice of glazing and facade construction. Gevelridder is one of the few real specialists with its own engineering bureau for smart lifting and preventing back pain. The Aluminum Facade Cart seamlessly fits this mission: less carrying of glass and panels, more working with smart lifting aids. Are you looking for a glass cart 250 kg, a sturdy panel cart for glass panels, or a compact glass transport cart that's really designed for construction? Then the Aluminum Facade Cart is the logical choice: light, maneuverable, occupational health-friendly, and made in the Netherlands for professional users. |
| Tension Clamp | Aluminum tension clamps from Gevelridder – safely secure glass on the glass cart The aluminum tension clamps from Gevelridder are specially designed for safe glass transport on a glass cart. They prevent glass panels, windows, or frames from tipping forward while driving. For contractors, glaziers, and finishing companies who work with glass daily, a good glass tension clamp is just as important as the glass cart itself. The tension clamps are made of light but strong aluminum, with the cleat plate made of stainless steel, making them easy to handle, even with gloves on. With the quickly adjustable clamp, you firmly secure glass against the support frame of the glass cart. This provides extra security when driving over thresholds and uneven terrain. The tension clamp acts as an "extra hand" that prevents the glass from falling forward. Working safely with glass cart and tension clamps For safe use, it's important that the glass cart always stands flat and stable before placing or moving glass. Make sure the cart is level and on a solid surface. Never leave a glass cart with glass unattended outside without supervision or securing; wind can cause the cart to tip over or the glass to blow over. The tension clamps significantly reduce this risk, but never replace common sense and proper use. The aluminum tension clamps are developed as part of the complete Gevelridder glass transport system: glass cart, mini crane for glass, and vacuumlifter. By placing glass on the cart, securing it with tension clamps, and then lifting it with a vacuumlifter, you work safely, ergonomically, and professionally. Less chance of breakage, less chance of accidents, and a better protected team. Are you looking for tension clamps for glass carts, safety clamps for glass, or accessories for glass transport? With the aluminum tension clamps from Gevelridder, you choose a well-thought-out, practice-tested solution that fits modern, safe working in construction and finishing. |
| KIM23 auto vac | KIM23 – rechargeable hand pump suction cup for safe and ergonomic glass work The KIM23 is a compact, USB-rechargeable hand pump suction cup specially developed for safe and ergonomic working with glass and flat sheet materials. This smart vacuum suction cup automatically pumps when the vacuum decreases. This way, you maintain continuous grip on the glass and work with more confidence, even during longer tasks on the construction site. The KIM23 is easy and safe to place in the Facade Knight frame and is secured with double fixing bolts. This keeps the suction cup firmly in position and is suitable as part of a complete lifting aid for glass, for example, in combination with a Facade Knight mini crane or glass cart. The KIM23 suction cups can also be used separately as a hand pump suction cup, for example, for short moving or positioning of lighter windows, panels, or doors. Ergonomics and lifting standard: prevent exceeding 23 kg According to common ergonomic guidelines and lifting standards, it is undesirable to lift more than about 23 kg by hand. This also applies if you use a hand pump suction cup like the KIM23. Therefore, always ensure that you do not exceed the lifting standard of 23 kg when lifting manually. For heavier glass, large windows, or intensive work, it is wiser to switch to mechanical lifting aids, such as the Facade Knight mini crane, glass cart, and vacuum lifter. This reduces the strain on your back, shoulders, and arms and clearly makes working more ergonomic. Smart lifting aid in the Facade Knight system The KIM23 fits seamlessly into the Facade Knight concept of smart lifting and preventing back pain. In the frame, you use the KIM23 as an electrically repumping suction cup in a lifting situation; separately, you use it as a precise hand pump suction cup for glass in lighter tasks. This way, you combine flexibility with safety and gradually build a workplace where lifting aids for glass are standard, instead of heavy lifting work. |
